A lip wax makes a real difference, and it takes almost no time. Fine or coarse hair above and around the lips can blur the lines of your face. Removing it cleanly gives the skin a smooth, defined edge that you notice every time you look in the mirror.
Your artist applies warm wax, removes the hair from the root, and finishes with a calming treatment to settle the skin. The whole thing moves quickly, and most guests find it much more manageable than they expected.
Pair it with a brow wax or another facial service to make the most of your visit. Regular appointments keep results looking fresh and consistent, so the upkeep stays easy between visits.
Before your appointment
- Come with clean, dry skin around your lips, skip any lip balm or heavy moisturizer right before your visit
- Hair needs to be at least a quarter inch long for the wax to grip properly, so hold off on shaving or tweezing for a few days beforehand
- Let your artist know about any retinoids, exfoliants, or skin-sensitizing products you use regularly
Keeping the result
- Avoid touching or rubbing the area for a few hours after your appointment
- Skip heavy lip products, sunscreen stick applicators, and exfoliating scrubs on that skin for at least 24 hours
- A little redness right after is normal and usually settles down quickly on its own
- Stay out of direct sun and humid heat, like a long beach afternoon, for the rest of the day
